Sun soaked and rest wrung
The puma wakes and unwinds
Cabled shoulders restrung
Jaws yawning wider than the sky
Inhaling the whole world
Snow-capped volcanic fist
Jet stream surfing hawk
Postured antlered elk
A new dance every time
Dangerous and strong
The puma listens for the beat
